guys omg i actually can’t believe it but this picture is a proof (mainly for me) that it wasn’t all a dream (i’m the girl in black yeah what else could you wear to meet your object of adoration since you were 14 y o)
ok
so
on tuesday my collegue larisa (the girl in yellow) invited me to the meeting of LDS church - i’m not a mormon and she isn’t either, she got invited by her schoolfriend (the tall guy) who is - because they asked brandon-the sexiest mormon-flowers to do some talking in front of his church mates. at first i didn’t believe it was possible cos you know it’s russia and they play their first gig in the history of a band here how could this be i meet him ha ha ha ha no way but then i realized that church ties are strong between its members so maybe he really will come and it’s not just a cause for mormons to invite some freshblood to the meeting and convert them………
actually i have a history with mormons going since i was like 11 - two american missionaries lived next door for a year and as i was small and curious about everything i talked to them every time i saw them and they told me about their religion and faith and history of the movement etc and i remember it all. and since that every now and then there is a missionaire on the street coming to me trying to convert me lol i don’t even know why, thought i didnt look so desperate for something to believe in this sick sad world but apparently i do.. so one of them gave me a book of mormon and i even tried to read it (but failed). and of course when i was 14 killers and bf happened so i got my reading about mormons again.. but yeah, i’m telling this to explain why lds church doesnt annoy me like other religions, it just seems like it’s always there but doesnt bother me much and i kind of enjoy mormons looking good in their white shirts with their white teeth :)
back to the theme
…so i agreed. thursday came and we met with larisa and her friends and went to the church (it’s not actually a church, just a small house with classrooms and halls where they meet and study the book of mormon and talk about life and all that is)
we got our seats in the small hall (there were about a 100 people max) and i started shaking haha and then some guy came up on stage and i felt terrible cause i thought that was it and bf wouldnt come but the guy told us about one hour delay of their flight (yeah brandon was meant to come to this meeting right from plane omg that is dedication) so we had an hour to ourselves and we spent some time with our new mormon friends and they took us on tour of their meeting house and told us some stories and backgrounds of church (did you know it’s forbidden to them to drink coffee and tea??)
then we went back to the hall and guys told us that brandon is here
i was freakin shocked cos the shit was REAL you know
annnnnnnnd he entered the room!! jesus i almost fainted hehe
(i’ve only seen brandon once on his solo tour in benicassim in 2011 so i almost forgot how handsome and tan and perfect he is irl)
and we prayed together with brandon it was so weird (larisa’s friend went up on stage and said the prayer while everybody were sitting there with their eyes closed and then we all said AMEN and bf too…. haha)
and then we watched “i’m a father a husband and a mormon” video with brandon (weird again) and we’ve been asked not to record anything or take photos while the lecture lasts
then brandon came to the mic and introduced himself and he actually had some papers with his speech written on it
he started with a story about elvis presley. i may not remember it perfectly but here it is
one of elvis’s bodyguards was a mormon and one day elvis came to his house and saw bodyguard’s daughters going somewhere early in the morning. so he asked his bodyguard where were they going and he told elvis “to church”. elvis’s mind was blown that girls that young could dedicate themselves to church so he asked to go with them to try to understand the big deal - and in church everyone’s mind was blown cos elvis presley came there (that was brandon’s joke about blown minds.. oh you dork) and elvis came up on stage in that church and had a talk with people there like he was not a superstar but a common man.
and after that brandon told us that if elvis himself could’ve done the talk once then he, bf, can do this too and on more regular basis
then he told us another story about elvis: he had his own book of mormon and in his museum bf was able to take a look at it. elvis always marked his books with his commentary and on one of pages brandon noticed the note about how elvis doesn’t like to be called a king cos there is only one true king - jesus christ.
after that stories bf started talking about how he manages to be a rockstar and a mormon at the same time and how tana helped him to get back to church when he was slowly getting out of it because of fame and tours
he told us that his mom was a mormon from the beginning and his dad converted - he got baptised in his uncle’s (if i remember right) pool because one night he felt the spirit so strong and couldn’t wait any longer. and when bf wanted to get baptised in that same pool they wouldn’t let him :(
it was strange for me to see that brandon, diva and rock god, is that religious. he really is serious when he talks about holy spirit and all that.
than he found some of his favourite bits  in the book of mormon and read em out loud (sorry but brandon saying prayers is definitely an erotic fantasy coming alive)
as i said i don’t remember much of his speech - it was long and interesting and very intimate
his favourite hymn is this one http://www.lds.org/music/library/hymns/i-believe-in-christ?lang=eng
he and ronnie and dave and mark are more than friends, they are like brothers and he is the only one religious but they understand him
he doesn’t go to afterparies at all, doesn’t drink, doesn’t do drugs and tries not to curse haha
watching religious videos on youtube while on tour helps him keeping the faith (omg……)
he didn’t go on a mission but some time he wants to do it together with tana
he thinks that outfits and haircuts dont matter and the only thing that does is writing good songs (oh rly)
he always believed in his music and maybe that’s one of the reasons the killers suceeded
he was really young when he felt the holy spirit (…)
his favourite song is probably “read my mind”
he finds it hard to write songs not about relationships
after his speech there was a q&a session and we prayed together again and then we were allowed to take pictures
and i went to brandon and thanked him for his words and of course for his music and he shook my hand
…
…
and we stood so close NOOOOO
and wow i can’t explain the feels
you know when i meet someone i really love i always feel depressed afterwards but this time i felt happy and relaxed and happy again
dear brandon you are the best see you saturday
